Shipt and the Birmingham Barons Team Up to Deliver Back-to-School Support for the Magic City

With the school year right around the corner in Shipt’s hometown, families are busy stocking their fridges, updating wardrobes and checking off classroom lists. To make the transition a little easier and a lot more fun, Shipt, Birmingham’s premier hometown same-day delivery solution, proudly partnered with the Birmingham Barons to host a Back-to-School Bash at Regions Field this past Sunday. As the Barons took on the Chattanooga Lookouts, families gathered to celebrate the final stretch of summer and gear up for the back-to-school season. 

Shipt and Barons team members greeted fans at the gates, handing out co-branded Barons x Shipt backpacks to the first 500 kids to enter the game. More than just a piece of gear, every fresh backpack represents a blank canvas ready to be filled with new books, big ideas and accomplishments in the classroom.

But the support didn’t stop there. Knowing that educators typically spend anywhere from $500 to $900 out of their own pockets on classroom materials*, Shipt hosted an exclusive sweepstakes to honor local teachers shaping the next generation. Five beloved teachers each walked away with annual Shipt memberships and up to $500 in credit to use on Shipt - a small way to say "thank you" to the educators who show up for Birmingham's kids every day.
